Two students from LCC won the 1st and 2nd place. Former LCC student, now an alumna, Yauheniya Varabyova won the 1st place. Her story is posted on this year’s Klipp &Klar brochure. The winner of the 2nd place – Alexandra Hutsko was happy to share her experience:
“Initially, I was hesitant about whether I should involve myself into the competition that is held in a language that I only mastered up to B1 level. I eventually got involved, and it was one of the smartest choices I have ever made. Klipp&Klar has given me plenty of experiences and lessons that I will never forget. Not only did I improve my German language, but also I mastered presentation skills and got to know interesting people both from Lithuania and from Germany. Also, as I had to travel to Vilnius for the meetings, I had to plan in advance in order to get ready for my classes and assignments, which significantly improved my time management skills. In the beginning, I signed up as a group with my friend. As students majoring in Business Administration, we came up with an idea to open a resort place and were considering to write a business plan. However, as the semester was approaching to an end, my friend decided to quit the competition due to the time constraint. It was the breaking point for me when I thought about quitting as well, for the pressure of the final exams coming was really high. Luckily, I stayed. Even more, I changed my topic, deciding to write a plan of creating an organization that would help Lithuanian students to get work experience abroad. All my efforts paid back in a pleasantly unexpected way. I won the second place and got the scholarship to attend summer language courses in Germany. Klipp&Klar has granted me a very beneficial and rewarding experience!”
