Preparing Champions: Teaching Public Speaking Skills

LCC International University

This seminar will assist English language teachers to prepare students to present public speeches. Giving a good speech takes time and talent but many pupils can do quite well with basic tips and guidance. Public speaking is a professional skill that your students will need throughout life. During this seminar, we will discuss the basics of good public speaking, we will see videos of past speech contestants in the English Speakers Union National Contest, and we will work specifically on the topic of this year's competitions. So come to the seminar and find out how to make good speakers -better!

In particular, the content will be helpful preparation for the National Public Speaking Competition that will be held at LCC on March 2, 2012. This annual event is sponsored by the English Speakers Union (ESU). To find out more about the national competition, go to http://www.lcc.lt/esu
