Environmental Awareness Club

The environmental awareness club is a club that calls on the awareness of the LCC community about the environmental issues. Students have a great chance to work on different projects that will bring about changes in the behavior of students, staff and faculty. Our activity can range from encouraging and enhancing recycling activities, movie sections, environmental sanitation, encouraging energy saving practices, and discouraging practices that lead to emission of substances that deteriorate our environment.

Objectives and Goals

One of our objectives is to make sure that every paper from LCC is recycled, and to a greater extent all the other recyclable materials. We also want to minimize the paper consumption to the lowest bearable level. We would like to create a ‘green day’ that we would campaign in one way or the other the benefits of environmental practices. We would find ways of improving the attitudes of LCC students, staff and faculty towards environmental saving practices. We would encourage the use of bicycles by our community members.

New members are welcome as there are lots of activities and doable projects. Like the Bible says, “ The harvest is ready, but the laborers are few”
