When: March 5th, 2010
Where: LCC International University, Klaipėda
It is the 13th time that the English-Speaking Union in Lithuania is announcing the National Public Speaking Competition. For the 8th time this national competition is organized jointly by the English-Speaking Union (ESU) and LCC International University, the English speaking university in Klaipėda.
The National Public Speaking Competition will be held on the 5th of March 2010, at LCC International University (Kretingos street 36, Klaipėda).
The winner of this national competition and his/her teacher will have the honor to take part in the International English Speaking Competition in London and be the ambassadors for Lithuania.
The topic of the Public Speaking Competition this year is "Speculation on Our Future". Speakers will be expected to address this theme in their speeches (they may not, however, use it as their title).
Only one student from each school can be registered for the ESU National Public Speaking Competition. The student must be aged between 16 and 20 years old on Friday 21 May 2010 and be a full time student. The student must be a citizen of Lithuania.
We want to strongly encourage you to organize a public speaking competition in your school in order to choose the best speaker.
Detailed information about the competition is available in the competition handbook. Please read the handbook carefully as it will provide you with detailed information on how to prepare for the competition, structure your speech, and what criteria those speeches will be judged on.
We are looking forward to seeing you registering for the competition and performing with excellence.
