I have chosen to study Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at this university because I have always been interested in the true responsibilities of business, its moral duties for the society and the environment. My experience at this university so far has been beyond my expectations. I have studied in California State University of Los Angeles, which already gave me some experience studying in a big school. However, it is impossible to even compare all the schools that I have studied in. LCC was my very first academic experience right after high school; therefore, it played a crucial role in shaping my personality and future life goals. The people I met and the relationships I have built gave me new perspectives in life. It is amazing that wherever I go and tell about LCC and its international student body and staff, people are surprised that such a small country like Lithuania gives this great possibility for students to become a part of an international community. It is amazing that LCC attracts people from many different countries. This multicultural experience had equipped me for my further studies abroad. The knowledge that I have gained during my studies at LCC provided me with tools for engaging in further studies. I feel competent and strong enough academically to be a student at a big university, or at any university. Most important, I feel strong in my values and morals and I have to acknowledge LCC‘s high contribution to this. My strong values, such as servant leadership, develop my further interests both in my Master's studies and my career choice.
Teaching at LCC would be an awesome opportunity, since it is a very dear place to me, and it was the beginning of every journey in my life ever since. Overall, Lithuania needs development in the practices of responsible business. One of the first things to do would be to educate people about the concept and application of CSR, its benefits to the society. I do believe that this input would be important, not necessarily by me, by anybody who has understanding about this concept and is eligible to teach it. Why at LCC? Well, because it matches and contributes to LCC‘s mission of developing servant leaders, because LCC has strong Christian values and CSR has started with religious values and beliefs, and has these values rooted beyond its normative description.
