Living in Residence
LCC International University has two residence halls: Neumann Hall and Enns Hall. Both dorms are located on campus. The residence halls are more than just buildings: each is a community where LCC students from around the world can sleep, eat, study, socialize, laugh, learn, and build relationships. Approximately 350 students live in University housing.
Residence halls are staffed by three Resident Directors (RDs), two in Neumann and one in Enns, who are full time LCC employees and live in apartments of their buildings. The RDs each work with a staff of 4-5 Resident Assistants (RAs). The RAs are student leaders who live on each floor/pod of the residence halls and whose goal is to make them a fun and healthy place for you to live! The RDs and RAs are there to answer your questions, plan exciting and educational activities for you to participate in, and to provide general assistance as you need it. The Community Life Department is intentional in hiring caring, competent and energetic RDs and RAs in order to make the residence hall communities the best they can be!
Both residence halls have alcohol free policies. Upon applying to live in the residence halls, students must agree to abide by the following Honor Code.
Honor Code
As a student at LCC International University and a resident of a University Residence Hall, I am aware that I am a member of a unique international learning community. I recognize that our community has standards to help make the dorms places where we can mature intellectually, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. I realize that our community is diverse with many different needs and opinions. I am aware that the policies have been created to provide a safe and healthy learning environment. I understand that when my personal desires conflict with the good of the greater community, I will not be able to behave exactly as I want.
Some of the specific regulations I agree to live by are:
- I will avoid the possession and consumption of alcohol in and around the Residence Halls at all times.
- If I consume alcohol, it will only be when I am not on University property.
- I will not come back to the University property drunk.
- I will limit smoking only to the designated areas.
- I will refrain from promoting, using, or providing illegal drugs.
- I will show respect to all members of the dormitory community.
- I will limit my noise to a volume that does not disturb my neighbors and that cannot be heard inside another room, or in the hallway after quiet hours.
- I will make certain my guests leave on time.
- I will not participate in acts of sexual intimacy outside of marriage on University property.
- I will take care of the dorm and accept responsibility for damages done in my room.
- I will stay informed of changes to Residence Life policies by reading bulletin boards throughout the year and attending all mandatory dormitory meetings.
I have read and understand all dorm regulations. (They will be available in greater detail within the LCC Student Handbook). My signature below shows that I agree to abide by these Residence Life regulations and am willing to be held accountable if I choose not to follow them. I understand this may mean anything from a warning to housing eviction to dismissal from LCC International University.
