Mission Trips

Purpose

The purpose of LCC summer mission trips is to prepare and equip LCC students to put into practice the concept of Christian servant leadership and to recognize the growing need for Christian missions in Eastern Europe. These trips will allow students to have opportunities to share their faith through relational ministry and service projects. In addition, students will strengthen their concept of Christian community and gain a greater picture of the Church by working alongside existing Christian ministries locally and throughout Eastern Europe.

Vilnius Team: April 29 - May 7, 2012

This summer LCC will be returning to Vilnius to partner with the Jesuit Catholic School in Vilnius (Vilniaus jėzuitų gimnazija) from April 29 through May 7. During this period of time we will be leading a very fun and exciting English camp. The primary goals will be to share the Christian faith and model positive Christian community. The team will responsible for teaching English, organizing sports and games, participating in evening services and supervising the campers.

How To Be Involved

We need a support team and would like for you to join in praying for this ministry. There are few ways in which you can do this:

  • Please pray for our teams. Pray for team unity and endurance. We will be working long hours with 100 campers, so please pray for our strength, health, and energy. Pray that God would be the main focus as we serve, and that each person on the team would grow to understand God's love more.
  • Please pray for the students. Pray that our lives will be a positive example for the campers to look up to. Pray that each camper will be able to experience God's love during our time with them.
