President’s Office

It's my pleasure to welcome you to this new academic year, particularly since this is the start of my new job as president of this wonderful institution. LCC International University has a wondrous history, full of vision, miracles, and courage - among founders, faculty, staff, students, donor, volunteers, and extended families of people far and wide. It is humbling for me to follow in the footsteps of those who have gone before. Yet, I have found in just a few weeks here on campus that LCC is an extraordinary place with outstanding, committed professionals with special talent - in other words, LCC is more than one individual, more than just a few, in fact, but a team and a host of those who dream big and then make it happen!

I've been so impressed by the quality of the student body -- outstanding English skills with a passion for learning, growing, and changing the world. They're from many different countries, which make the community at LCC so rich and inspirational. The faculty and staff are committed to student success, manifesting a caring, client-based focus that few organizations of any kind can match. With a North American higher education model without the North American costs in a beautiful EU country, located in an historic beach-side city on the Baltic Sea - you can't beat it. American students on Study Abroad, EU students on Erasmus Exchange, Intensive English special students, teachers and staff all seem to agree that once you come to LCC, you'll leave a part of your heart here and you'll want to return again and again.

Speaking of heart, what makes a difference at LCC is the focus on Judeo-Christian values that form and deeply touch all of us somehow. You don't have to be a Christian to study at LCC, but a Christian heart in action is what drives this place. I'm here in this position with my precious wife after having worked on six continents in a career in international business, international law, consulting, and then higher education, with large companies, small companies, non-profits - and I've never seen or felt anything like this place.
