Project Objectives:
- To develop the communication traditions between Lithuanian and Latvian entrepreneurs, businesses and academic communities.
- To connect Latvian and Lithuanian entrepreneurs in one agent for the business projects and business innovations by establishing a direct and interactive network.
- To provide the entrepreneurs with professional research in marketing, SME finance, management and business environment.
- To put into practice the experiences gathered in the virtual framework of the project into physical territory.
- To introduce new tools and services to be used at regional or local level in order to promote and support entrepreneurship in creative and cultural industries, especially revitalizing abandoned, retrogressive, traditional city zones.
Project Activities:
To ensure the innovativeness and higher added value of the project virtual incubator for new entrepreneurs will be developed. Virtual incubator will promote the development of creative and innovative business ideas. Potential entrepreneurs willing to become a part of the incubator will have a free access to the information resources provided in the virtual platform. Information provided will include: business idea development techniques, innovativeness and creativity, finance and management, marketing, legal issues, business plan preparation templates. Business support services will be available to any legal entity or individual within project target groups who are interested in business start-up or development.

The project budget is 410 040 EUR. It is partially funded by "Latvia - Lithuania cross border cooperation programme 2007-2013", European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).


Optimization of Study Process in Business, Psychology, and English Programs of LCC International University by Installing Interactive Educational Technology Facilities
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The aim of this project is to improve the study quality and effective use of resources at LCC. The target groups of the project are Lithuanian and foreign students and LCC faculty. LCC is going to obtain and install technological facilities for interactive teaching and learning process organization (interactive equipment packages for 9 classrooms and 2 auditoriums, desktop and laptop computers for faculty workplaces, new computers for 1 LCC classroom, upgrading a portal computer server and software for 1 LCC classroom, upgrading software for 2 LCC classrooms, joining interactive boards and faculty and student computers into a single network, teaching faculty how to use the new equipment) and technological facilities for organization of studies of the English Language (simultaneous interpretation equipment, including mobile interpretation control units, for 1 LCC classroom). Acquisition of this equipment and implementation of the project would create favorable conditions for improving the study quality in Lithuania and would reduce student emigration from Lithuania, as well as attract students from abroad. GENERAL INFORMATION
The Ministry of Education an Science of the Republic of Lithuania passed the Order No V-1671 of September 30, 2010 “On the approval of list No 2 of the state projects financed according to the instrument No VP3-2.2-ŠMM-18-V 'Development of University Infrastructure' of priority No 2 'Quality and Accessibility of Public Services: Health; Labour Market Institutions; Education Institutions' of the Cohesion Promotion Operational Pragramme 2007-2013”.
The LCC International University project “Optimization of Study Process in Business, Psychology and English Programs of LCC International University by Installing Interactive Educational Technology Facilities" No VP3-2.2.-ŠMM-18-V-02-005 (further referred to as Project) was included into the above mentioned list of state projects.
The Agreement on Financing and Administering the Project No VP3-2.2.-ŠMM-18-V-02-005 was signed with the Central Project Management Agency on April 1, 2011. For more information visit www.esparama.lt
The implementation of the project was launched November 2, 2010. The implementation of all project activities has to be finished by November 30, 2011.
CONTINUITY
The initiator and implementer of the project is LCC International University, which intends to allocate 15 percent of the funds necessary for the project. The project investments will be made into assets, therefore LCC aims at creating infrastructure which would be used to enhance the quality and accessibility of educational and study services. LCC International University will ensure the physical and financial continuity of the project from its own resources after the financial assistance from the EU Structural Funds for this instrument ends. Activity continuity: all the equipment acquired during the project will be maintained by LCC IT department, which will also be responsible for consulting faculty and students about the new technologies.
