Attendance

Learning a language is hard work. We are eager to see you succeed and we want you to attend class every session if possible. If you are planning to miss the next class, kindly inform your teacher before you leave.  If you miss classes on a regular basis, you will be contacted by the director.

Text Books

Use the textbooks in the classroom, or purchase your own at the local bookstore; you may not take the LCC books home.

LCC ID Card

During the registration day all the SLI students must pick up their LCC ID Cards from the registration desk. The card valid only during SLI time period.

Official Certificates of Completion

Official certificates of completion will be given to students who attend 95% (88 hours) of the class sessions throughout the semester. When you finish a class, your certificate indicates your level as compared to the Common European Framework level.

Library

Summer Language Institute students may use the LCC library, located on the 3rd floor. Students will find current newspapers, magazines and videos. SLI students can use LCC ID card to check out books and videos.

Fitness Center

SLI students are welcome to use Michealsen Centras fitness center. Present your LCC ID card at the fitness center reception desk. The cost for 1 visit is 3 LT.

Cafeteria

LCC has a cafeteria on campus in the Michealsen Centras. During July, the cafeteria is open from 9:00-15:00 for SLI students and staff. Students may purchase hot meals, salads, soups, chips, and drinks at reasonable prices.

Many students also use the kitchens located in the dormitory to cook their own meals.
