Governance

LCC International University (LCC) is unique in that it operates in multiple countries as a non-profit entity, with its main campus in Lithuania and charitable funding coming from many sources, primarily in North America. It also provides fee for higher education services as part of its mission for students from over 25 countries. Thus, it must comply with non-profit status regulations in Canada, the United States, and Lithuania, and must govern itself in conjunction with those country corporation models as well.

LCC is governed primarily by an independent Board of Directors with representatives from North America and Lithuania. The legal foundation of the University is The Statute (the latest amendment on April 13, 2016). LCC receives funding and resources from different sources, with major portions coming from an American charitable foundation (LCC International Fund Inc.; PO Box 4851; San Dimas, California 91773 — uscharity@lcc.lt), a Canadian charitable foundation (LCC International Fund Inc. PO Box 2142; Abbotsford, BC V2T 3X8 — cadcharity@lcc.lt). It has a strategic and important historic relationship with a Lithuanian Foundation (Lietuvos krikščioniškas fondasLithuania Christian Fund). LCC also receives in-kind gifts from a number of sources, and has faculty and staff seconded from different mission groups along with professional staff from Lithuania and North America. LCC complies with tax and accounting regulations and is audited regularly, in the USA and in Lithuania. It engages in best business practices accordingly, striving for transparency, accountability, and ethical codes of conduct.

Operationally, LCC has a president and a traditional American-Canadian university organizational chart by function: academics, business and finance, human resources, marketing and admissions, student life, and advancement/development. Board meetings occur twice a year, with a board of 24 members from various professions and backgrounds, helping to shape LCC by providing policy guidance, oversight, and global vision.
