Dr. Marlene Wall, President
Marlene Wall is the President of LCC International University. Marlene was hired by the Board of Directors to manage the work of the university, in keeping with the established mission and vision of the university. As President, Marlene works directly with President’s Cabinet in this management capacity, currently overseeing the strategic planning process. Marlene spends significant time in the area of advancement – building and maintaining relationships with partners and donors and friends of the university, in Lithuania, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, as well as in the United States and Canada.
Marlene earned her undergraduate degree in English and Secondary Education from Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas. Her Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics/English as a Foreign Language is from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. Her PhD in Curriculum and Instruction is from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. Marlene was a high school teacher and later a district-level administrator in the Wichita Public School system in Wichita, Kansas. She also taught as an adjunct at Wichita State University and Kansas State University.
Marlene has been involved with LCC since it began as a language institute in the summer of 1991, most recently for 10 years as the Academic Vice President.
