Summer Program

Can’t study abroad for a full semester? You can still have a life-changing, memorable experience with one of our short-term summer options. Study Abroad Lithuania offers two week – two month summer programs for individual students and faculty-led groups. Summer is a great time to experience the beauty of Lithuania and to travel Europe before or after your time at LCC. Your personalized summer program can include one or more of the following options: taking a May Term class, volunteering as a Kids Camp teacher, completing an internship, or assisting as a campus RA . May Term Class

  • Learn alongside international students for a 3 week, 3 credit intensive course
  • Select one of the courses offered and listed on our Selecting Courses page
    Courses will be available online in February, but you can email studyabroad@lcc.lt to inquire regarding specific courses.
  • Pre-approve transfer credit to home university prior to registration
  • Transcripts will be sent to the partner college upon completion of the course

Kids Camp

  • Gain hands on experience teaching English to elementary and middle school students during our day camps in June
  • Immerse yourself in a cross-cultural setting
  • Potentially receive academic credit if pre-approved by your home institution

    Internship

    • Complete an internship abroad to gain experience in your field, boost your resume, and acquire valuable skills in an international workplace
    • Potentially receive academic credit if pre-approved by your home institution

    RA for Summer Language Institute

    SLI Application and More Information

    • Apply your leadership skills as you live alongside and mentor our students in July
    • Immerse yourself in a variety of cultures as you engage with these international students
    • Coordinate hall activities and program events for students living in the dorms during SLI
    • Explore the city of Klaipeda and enjoy the summer weather while students are in class during the day

    Eligibility

    • You will be a sophomore, junior or senior
    • You have completed at least one semester at your university
    • You have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.7
      * those with a GPA lower than a 2.7 may be considered in cases of special circumstances
      ** all majors can apply 

    Housing and Food

    • Shared room in the student dorm – when possible students will have European roommates.
    • Students will be responsible for preparing / purchasing their own meals. We provide students with the necessary cookware for students during their time here. Local grocery stores are located near LCC giving the students the ability to cook on-campus or go into town to eat at local restaurants.
