On Friday, December 2, LCC International University started the Christmas season celebration by inviting Klaipeda residents as well as LCC community members to the charity event ‘At the Christmas Eve Table’. Traditionally, the event included a charity fair followed by the Christmas program.
Klaipeda schools, various centers for youth, and social service organizations sold their crafts during the fair. Guests had an opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit by tasting homemade sweets and listening to live music while browsing, chatting, and selecting original Christmas gifts. Funds collected during the fair will be donated to Klaipeda’s homeless shelter to help sponsor their Christmas Eve dinner.
Each year the LCC community also prepares a Christmas concert, and this year LCC invited a very special guest, Connie Epp, to direct the Christmas program. Connie, together with an LCC team of actors, singers, and stage crew, presented “Messy Hope”, a contemporary reflection of the nativity story. The program included a spectacular concert as well as an engaging performance which was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience as well as the participants.
Philanthropy, an integral part of LCC International University, has been driving the success of LCC for 25 years. ‘At the Christmas Eve Table’ is yet another example of what the LCC community values most. When unconditional giving becomes a driving force, positive change becomes inevitable.
This year over 600 Euros which were collected during the ‘At the Christmas Eve Table’ event will be donated to Klaipeda’s homeless shelter.
LCC wants to thank everyone who took part in the event and created an opportunity to support people who need help most during the Christmas season.
