LCC International University’s Center for Research on Faith and Human Flourishing (CRFHF) and Center for Dialogue and Conflict Transformation (CDCT) are joining the Lithuanian Consumers Alliance and Klaipėda University to co-organize an international conference taking place on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at LCC International University’s Learning Commons in Klaipėda. The conference is part of Eurodad’s EU-funded “Connecting the Dots” project.

The conference brings together academics, policymakers, NGO and civil-society representatives, EU institutions, activists, and students to explore how climate, gender, economic, and social justice intersect in a world shaped by ecological stress, conflict, displacement, and fragmenting trade relations. The day opens with a keynote and an academic plenary, bringing together perspectives from philosophy, political economy, and related disciplines on the diverse ways these crises can be understood.

The program continues with four parallel thematic labs. One examines who bears the costs of the ecological transition through the lens of gender, care, and regenerative justice. Another explores how fragmenting global trade relations intersect with economic justice, labor, and human rights. A third focuses on displacement and human rights in the context of conflict and climate stress, while the fourth examines Global Majority voices, colonial legacies, and the politics of climate and development communication.

Student testimonials follow, alongside two parallel policy roundtables. One addresses development and climate finance, debt, and trade fragmentation, while the other focuses on rights, representation, and agency amid conflict and displacement. The day concludes with a networking event, offering participants an opportunity to continue conversations and build connections over refreshments.
