The project aims to strengthen internationalisation and community engagement by promoting the integration of international and local students, fostering academic and social inclusion, and creating an intercultural learning environment.
The project will involve two groups of students.
The first group, consisting of 20 international and local students, will complete video-based training on the poster creation process. They will also participate in seminars and creative workshops organised through the International Partnership and Collaboration Hub, organise the "Plakatonas" poster competition and exhibitions, prepare project reports, and carry out communication and publicity activities.
The second group, consisting of 80 international and local students, will complete the online training materials on the poster creation process, participate in the seminars and creative workshops, and submit their posters to the "Plakatonas" competition.
Project objectives
To provide students with essential knowledge about intercultural collaboration, the integration of international and local students, the importance of teamwork, and the poster design process.
To promote the transfer of knowledge and skills related to student integration within higher education communities through engaging methods and tools while developing students' project management competencies.
Competencies developed through the project
Participants will strengthen both general and professional competencies, including:
Self-awareness and self-reflection
Communication
Critical thinking and problem solving
Digital content creation
Visual communication and poster design principles
Creativity and innovative thinking
Project planning, implementation, reporting, and communication
Expected results
By the end of the project:
One hundred students will have gained knowledge and practical skills related to international and local student integration, community building, and poster design.
Twenty students from the first participant group will improve their planning, organisational, and project management skills through the preparation of learning materials, implementation of the competition and exhibitions, and dissemination of project activities.
A video-based online training course, "The Poster Creation Process," will be published on the KVK YouTube channel and remain freely accessible to future students and other interested learners, ensuring the long-term sustainability of the project.
Open discussion events will engage the wider student community in conversations about the challenges of integrating international students in Lithuania and higher education institutions, encouraging greater awareness and involvement.
At the end of the project, all 100 participants will discuss and evaluate the effectiveness of the project's activities and the progress made in strengthening integration and community engagement.
